About Your New Role

Reporting directly into the General Manager and forming part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead a team of maintenance specialists and contractors, driving both maintenance execution and strategy across this impressive facility. In being a key driver in seamless safe operations across the site, key aspects of your role will include:

  • Leading a reliability centred maintenance program, with a focus on utilisation of effective oil testing and thermography tools
  • Develop the site’s maintenance plan, with the goal of minimising plant down time and reliance on major shut periods
  • Driving a maintenance culture of continuous improvement across the organisation
  • Engaging effectively with the broader business, particularly with Production and Project teams, to ensure strong collaboration and ultimately production efficiency
  • Ongoing development of your maintenance team as well as longer term succession planning

About You

We are currently seeking Process Operators at our Oberon site. Reporting to the Process Supervisor.

Process Operators
Highland Pine Products is currently seeking applications to fill several positions for Process Operators, reporting to the Shift Supervisor.
These positions may be used in the Dry Mill, Green Mill or the Kilns/Boiler.
The Operators’ primary role is to ensure that the operation of the mill is adhered to against set specifications, standards, quality and WHS practices and procedures.
To be successful you will:
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machine parts
• Able to fault find and diagnose machinery problems
• Demonstrate commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
• Be safety and quality conscious
• Carry out manual handling tasks
• Good hand/eye co-ordination
• Be available for shift work, both weekdays and weekends when required
• Have experience in the timber processing industry and/or similar exposure to continuous production line operations. Although this is not essential, it would be highly regarded
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills with good computer skills.
You will be a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to operate collaboratively with your work group and with internal/external stakeholders

This position also offers an attractive hourly rate with opportunity for overtime.

You will have demonstrated experience in:
